Thank you May, I am glad you like it. This is such a beautiful estate, I never get tired of seeing it. I am lucky to drive by it on my way to work!
Thanks Ryan. Like I said to May, this is a beautiful estate. I have always loved the miles of white plank fences around this area but have often thought that I am glad I do not have to maintain them. Of course most of the people that have all these fences have people who do the maintenance for them! Bruce
Thanks John, it is a beautiful place. I cannot imagine what the property is worth now! There are a number of beautiful old estates in this area. One can be fairly certain however that for many of them, the people who own them are not doing the yard work! I have heard that the people who own this place are only there part time. They must have other homes as well. They do however have a whole company of caretakers who keep the place running. Bruce
Thanks Brandon. One can hardly go wrong shooting a picture of Mirador with the Blue Ridge in the background! I am not a native from here, but I will say that over the years that I have lived here I feel incredibly blessed to be able to 'come home' to these mountains. Bruce
Oh, I LOVE that place. I actually went there on Friday, 4/11/09. My dad does some electrical work there so I get to go. My first pony, Misty, actually came from there (that was like 6 yrs, ago)! Beautiful place! I love going there.
barrelracer4lifecg13! Thanks for all the comments on so many of my pictures. It is always nice to hear from a local that loves this area as much as I do. You are lucky to get to see the inside of some of these places.

Your most welcome Yank in Dixie.
Yes,Bruce the parties are really the best at mirador.
Iam not sure if you know, but they also have peacock birds roaming the grounds and even beautfiul white swans at the pond behind the main house.
Any way, i will write again soon.
John.
