One could be forgiven for thinking that FRYUP is a real place...It is, in fact a totally fictitious notion!

These are the images which show just how good your camera really is. Which in turn, shows just how good the photographer is! Are you HDR experiments over with now?

Dream place!!!!!!!!!!!Like too

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on June 8, 2011

John J. Slovinec, Sr…~~~I'm deeply flattered by your generous appraisals John..The Y* means a great deal to me..Thank you!

RominaMza~~Thanks Romi, your visit and lovely compliment is much appreciated!

BritPlom~~~A warm welcome Francois ;) It may not look it, but the land is very dry in the UK too..However, everything seems to be thriving due to the odd heavy rain storms of recent days!

Ghiocela~~~It's a pleasure to receive your mail Simona..I'm glad you liked the idea!

volnat~~~Fryup is a well signposted place Volnat, yet no one really knows where it is..Only a few farms and private dwellings scattered around the valley can be seen..there is no village as such..only this widely scattered community! It is, however, one of the most compact and possibly the prettiest of all Yorkshire dales!

Sigh~~~~I think it is beginning to make some sense now Si, my judgement(sometimes), the use of light, perspective, detail and at last, the camera are in synch!. Your fine compliment is very flattering, I respect and value your opinions! As for HDR, well I had a lot of fun messing with it and I wont write it off, but I am unlikely to produce many HDR images!! I think it is too easy to loose sight of what is a photograph of worth compared to a computer generated facsimile, a moot point perhaps!

tonydanis~~~Much appreciated complimen and LIKE, thanks!

Scarulu16~~~~This valley, one of the Yorkshire dales, is about twelve miles from my home and is off the beaten track..This means few tourists bother to drive there..There are no hotels, pubs or restaurants in the vicinity..but I love visiting this largely forgotten beauty spot, especially out of the tourist season..

To you all, I express my sincere gratitude for your visits, precious comments, your endorsements, yellow stars and for taking the time to look!

Kind regards :)

Jim

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on June 25, 2011

Laurentiu Mitu~~~~The clouds came in handy Lorenzo to break the monotony of clear blue skies ;>) Your'e a star my friend!

stacy metcalf~~~The pathway to everywhere your imagination can take you Stacy..that's the magic of these sparsely populated wide open spaces we call the dales! I enjoyed your fulsome remarks ;)

Mahmoud Eskandari~~~I'm happy that you liked this image Mahmoud..

Melsen Felipe~~~It's a pleasure to receive your lovely comments, I thank you kindly my friend!

J-mckinna~~~Aye Jim Mc, there's a lot of big country out there on my doorstep..This where I escape to during the tourist season (It used to be the wide open sea)

vale979~~~A warm welcome Vale ;) everything was in place to make my job easy and pleasurable! Glad you liked this shot!

Norrel~~~~It is hard to imagine that our lands were linked..those tectonic plates are awesome movers!

Steve Drury~~~I shall be returning there come the autumn Steve..that mature golden light is calling me!

Sababoy~~~One becomes very aware of the powerful natural forces that sculptured and honed these beautiful valleys..

joyfotos~~~That is precisely what I did here Joy..There are numerous clearly marked public footpaths across open farmlands into the upland moors beyond..One could walk all day and not see another soul! I found peace and solitude..that's a priceless commodity!

_ To you all, I express my sincere gratitude for your visits, precious comments, your endorsements, likes, Y*'s and for taking the time to look!_

Kind regards :)

Jim

I think that we both share the same universal sense of fun, friendship and laughter, and that is good my friend! hugs !

Jim
