Very beautiful, Marilyn. The water is so calm, the clouds are even reflecting in it. Greetings, Anne

Thank you, Wallace and Anne. I suppose at high tide the waves come over the reef and onto the beach, but this was at low tide, and the calm was beautiful. Greetings, Marilyn

Ah! I just love the beach shots where the sea is semi transparent. A little reflection of the sky, yet visible sand below the surface. Jepp, the beach is my favourite spot. I do love the subtle colors which gives the scene the proper feel to it :)

Thank you, Roger. I hesitated about posting this because there are so very many beach photos on Panoramio. Finally I did because I like it for the reasons you described so well.

I know what you mean. It's the same with sunsets. However, I read a wise comment once claiming that one should not be afraid to take pictures of sunsets and display them, even though you would feel like they are clichès. Most people love them anyway. Same goes for beaches. And when should nature go out of fashion, aye? Well, I might be biased since I love the beach so much. I like the light there, the vast openess, fresh salty air and so on. Ah, did I forget to mention warm sand, swimming, inflateable beach balls and rubber ducks ;) Anyway, I like your picture :)
