Aye Bonnie Lad, that's as maybe :))

It opened to let a boat under the French flag to get into the smaller city canal. It's an interesting piece of engineering, and quite innovative I think. I've never seen anything like it before :)

Dear Suzi, a clever engineering solution I think! We were fascinted by the variety of bridges we saw on the main canal round Bruges, but this one was by far and away the most interesting, and the least photographed too I suspect :)
