Good morning Bonnie Lad, I'm pleased you dam well liked it :))

This sluice led into a lock system, very interesting to watch huge commercial barges as well as smaller craft going through on the way to Ostend. We spent a long time just watching the traffic :))

Hello David, you go to bed early! I don't think I have been in bed by 10pm since I was about since I was 10 years old :))

I think you would have found this area of Bruges fascinating, everyone takes photos of the pretty bits :)

Cheers my Aussie friend, Amelia

Thank you PAT. Bruges is a popular city for photographers, and so it was not so easy to find places where tourists don't go. We enjoyed watching this sluice gate open to allow a couple of large barges to pass through - although it took a long time, and disrupted the traffic flow :)

What bridge number is this then ? :) Did the window cleaning trick work?

Amelia Royan on September 9, 2011

Not a drop so far! Apparently, according to the weather forecast, we could get hail after midnight on Saturday! Hail? Could be interesting :)))

Nick Weall on September 10, 2011

Well the remains of Hurricane Katia are not due to hit Scotland until Monday but I guess will bring high winds and rain to much of the UK then, but all hail on Sunday is somehow appropriate I guess :))
