Hello my friend a little bit of useless information that may bring a smile to someone’s face?

There is a Pub in

"Headless Cross" ㋡ Redditch called,

THE GATE HANGS WELL... renown for "real ale" In fact the Gate Hangs Well is a common name for pubs in the Midlands:

"This Gate Hangs Well, and hinders none. Refresh and pay and travel on." ㋡ ㋡

Never the less it’s a great photo I like it,

Greetings Ray ㋡ ㋡ ㋡

My word the person who made this gate has very artistic talent, it really is a gate that hangs well.

Hi Ray, you've sussed me:) there used to be a pub called the Gate Hangs Well in Nottingham. It was pulled down long before I was born however, I have seen pictures and really liked to pub and it's name. In the picture it had a 5 bar gate as it's sign. the gate in the picture is fantastic, if I could have loaded it onto my wheelchair...

It is truly a work of art, and you've done a great job in capturing it. Thanks for sharing Mark.

Wow another beautiful carving. I have never seen a gate like this before (sounds like a song coming on!). Very interesting about the pub, I wonder how it came to have that name? Cheers, Rosa.

Howdy Mark!

That's a welcoming gate! Made to beckon people in rather than keep them out.

It sure is great to see green again :))) and feel the warmth!

Excellent composition! Liked!

Warm wishes to you! :)GG

I love old farm gates, Mark, but this is a real beauty and I have spent ages looking at the carvings you can see when this great picture is zoomed. A keeper! ☆ Theolfa
