Can you see the swirling clouds? This was getting so spooky I only took a few shots. I had my boys with me and they were ready to go way before this point! This front later produced tornadoes in various areas. Minor damage was reported in some towns and farms. Whether this had the potential to form a funnel cloud I don't know. The wind was blowing quite heavily at this point as well as the temp dropping from around 80 degrees to around 65 deg F! Storm chasing is thrilling!

Tony - This is a really neat photo, but I'll let you chase storms. I've been way too close to the 'twirlies' too many times on accident to seek them out. Maxine

Maxine, I have been a little too close sometimes and after the fact, I think this was one of those times. My older son was with me and he was using my old Canon A520 that does video. He didn't get much of this because he was so scared at the time. He didn't speak for at least 30 minutes after we left this area and got away from the storms. It wasn't till much later I realized how dangerous it was to be where we were at. I guess you just had to have been there. We live smack dab in the middle of Tornado Alley too! Thanks for the compliments!
