I feel cool and fresh viewing this great NZ autumn shot, Ian. The calm water, clear reflection and leaf color add up to a very nice composition. Best regards. -Art

Your praise of the scene and the image is very much appreciated, Tom. I delighted in the colours and variety of this area, which was kind of refreshing somehow after being in paradise in the high mountains and glacial valleys.

Thanks, Tom.

Dear Ian, your beautiful photo (FL) could be from the Engadin, where I am staying right now for a few days.

So sorry, I have neglected you and my other friends badly, I never understand how most of you can manage writing. On my walks on the Schonegg, I always feel close to you and I am not surprised to see how well you are getting on with the farmers up there :) Of course you are present here in the Engadin as well and we could have some lovely talks about so many topics.

In most parts of Europe we enjoy a great autumn with an exceptional warmth, the rivers are dry, except those, which carry the water of the rapidly melting glaciers - which is rather sad.

My best wishes to you and your family,

May

Dear May,

Thank you for your special note on this photo, and for your empathy. O how I would love to explore the Engadin and walk with you as my guide!!

Our last semester in Tonga is passing quickly and it won't be long now before we are back home in Australia. here though we have had family visit us and that has given us the opportunity to go out with the camera to appreciate that awesome coastal scenery nearby.

The winter misses us here in Tonga, and this equitable climate seems to be endlessly balmy. However NZ has had some of its heaviest snowfalls for decades. But summer cometh, and I trust it is not quite so severe as last summer was in Queensland with devasting flooding and the colossal Tropical Cyclone Yasi.

The dream of walking the Engadin remains alive.

Thank you, and warmest regards,

Ian
