Wow now that's a close-up! First shot I've seen where I could tell whether or not a hawk had a booger. Great detail and howdy Russ, your the apple of his eye.

P.S. - Rats the sun's trying to peek out here and I gotta go to work, no time to play for us rocket surgeons.

He is, of course, a "tame" bird. I've met him twice before as we both visited Hickling Country Fair. Not easy to get very close...he, and his trainer, don't encourage nearby fingers. You need to be still for a while to stop him fidgeting. But, yes, not the same as getting a picture in full flight.
