This vista was first made fameous by the official photographer of the Canadian Pacific Railway, Nicholas Morant. Consequently, this particular bend and backdrop view is known as "Morant's Curve".

VIA does not use these tracks...
This rail belongs to Canadian Pacific. VIA follows a longer and less scenic route farther north through Edmonton on tracks owned by Canadian National.
