Thanks, Ainars, I've added both "green" and "yellow" tags because I couldn't decide! Cheers, Marilyn

Lovely image Marilyn! The framing with the worn wood is great. The texture of the yellow crop is wonderful and inviting also: I'd love to walk through it, running my hands along the top of the plants. Too bad about that sign!

Thank you, Brandon. Yes, canola is an especially lovely-looking crop, and we were lucky to be there before it was harvested.

beautiful composition!!!! greetings from Italy

Marilyn, your composition is very similar to mine. My thought on this image was that it is a pity that it wasn't brilliant sunlight for you on that occasion for the major element of rapeseed/canola is its brilliant colour. Every blessing for a wonderful 2008. Ian

Ian, I also wished for full sunlight, but I wished even more that there weren't the "keep out" signs that kept me from a wider choice of photo angle. It took long consideration of the cropping to come up with this image.

By now you are already in 2008! May it be a year filled with joy and peace. (And greetings from the past as we still finish up 2007!) Marilyn

Many thanks. May 2008 bring you health, happiness, and many beautiful photos!

Wrong location. Photo was taken about 20kms west of here. Also this canola is about three months off being harvested. Great shot though!!

Marilyn Whiteley on November 18, 2008

Thank you, for willstanton, for suggesting the correction. I'm happy to accept it. As for the time of harvest, that's interesting. I only reported what the young woman in the restaurant said. Greetings from Canada.

I'm sorry I didn't thank you before this, waura, and thank you, Barbaros. I love seeing the yellow fields and was very lucky to find this view!

Best wishes, Marilyn
