Looking north up the Hudson River Valley from the Oakwood Cemetery overlook.
Brandon, I love this view. An exceptional photo with all these colours and view. It looks like a painting of a great master. To any visitors: It's worth opening to the original size, there are so many beautiful details to discover. YS
Thank you so much for you kind words May! While I wouldn't say my work is that good, there were many "masters" that painted this very area. You should look into the Hudson River School of American painters, epitomized by Thomas Cole as well as Frederic Edwin Church, John Frederick Kensett, and Sanford Robinson Gifford. They painted this same river valley, as well as the neighboring Catskill and Adirondack mountains; some of their works are absolutely breathtaking.
Thank you for the link, Brandon! As I said, it reminded me of masters in painting. At Wikipedia they refer to Turner and Constable, which belong to my favourites. You represent your country beautifully.
