An absolutely gorgeous picture Steve...I have just read your profile and wish you luck in whatever you are thinking of doing next. Maybe it should have something to do with photography! This one is going in the favourites.

Good luck and best wishes, Rosa.

Hiya Rosa :-) Grand to see you have stopped by! Blimey... that's three people that have read it!!

I usually change it every month or so.. I use it as a blog more than anything but keep the content to subjects we all here can relate to. I enjoy writing... and the advantage of type-written text is it is far more readable (grammar notwithstanding) than my hand writing!

So pleased you like this photo... This is a beautiful farmhouse.. the moat no longer goes all the around but 3/4 ain't bad!

As for the job, I heard I was out yesterday... but I am not too glum about it. I have the luxury of time to consolidate ideas I have held for a long while so I consider myself luckier than many.. One thing I want to develop more is photography... I love the artistic side of it but I reckon it can also serve as one of a number of strings that earn the readies... We shall see...

As always, Rosa, lovely to see you have stopped by :-)

Hi, just about to switch off and saw your message....That all sounds very positive, keep us informed! I am looking forward to my holiday in Suffolk and Norfolk next month, oh and Cambridge. Kind regards, Rosa.

Very English Steve and liked

Have a nice day...Marion

Hiya Marion! This is a lovely spot.... These places are wonderful inside... not a right-angle to be found anywhere. The ceilings and floors slope this way and that and the ancient oak beams creak as the temperature goes up and down.

And if you are curious, this is not my pad!!

Thanks for the like

Very beautiful farmhouse Steve, love the moat that almost goes right around it. It's been yonks since I have been on here to your site, a lot of new photo's to look at, may take me awhile. Sorry you were retrenched from work, hope you are holding up ok, I know it takes it's toll on finances etc. As a lot of people have suggested no doubt you should think about photography as a profession? Or something in that line maybe. LIKE this photo anyway, all the best, LOZ

Hiya Loz!! It has been a while but you have caught up today :-)

This spot is about 30 minutes walk from where I live... I have gone past it many times but this was the first time I had a good look at it...

As for the job thing, thanks for the kind words :-) When the announcements were made, I (and a good chunk of my mates) volunteered. Very unlike me! Still, the severance deal allows me some leeway to retrain and also allows me time to get a second string to the bow organised... the photography. So your suggestion was spot on!

One more week to go and then all change!

Thanks for the like ...
