Thanks for looking in and commenting Muba. I have known about this place since my childhood. My friends and I used to make trips on the train to Aderley Edge from Gatley or Heald Green in the summer holidays. The edge was then, and still is, a great place to spend time exploring.This inscription is said to have been made by the Grandfather of the author Alan Garner who wrote the popular children's novel, The Wierdstone of Brisingamen, which is set in Alderley Edge.
