Beautiful white buildings against a perfectly blue sky! Great shot, Billy! Greetings, Anne

Thanks Anne. I agree about the white against blue but I just thought they were very nice shapes.

Yes, the shapes are very pretty and unusual. Is this typical architecture prevailing on the island? I've never been there. Anne:)

Unfortunately not in the area I was based. This looks like it is influenced by Morocco which in fact is less than 400km. away.

Very nice composition, Billy and you have caught very nicely the strange style of the new places, mainly constructed for tourists! You are right, the new settlements in Tenerife are influenced by a style, which doesn't belong to the original tradition.
Anne, Tenerife is a wonderful island, what concerns nature in the higher regions; but along the coast and on the slopes are too many hotels and concrete settlements for tourists. The tops, which look like chimneys are for the ventilation of bathrooms. It's a pity to see how Tenerife gets spoiled. There isn't much left of the original, traditional houses
Greetings to you both, May.

Thanks for your nice comment May. I agree about hotels spoiling the island of Tenerife. I think the island of Lanzarote has the right idea by restricting all new buildings to a maximum of two storeys high.
