Awesome, I see they operate two lines, the Beach Train Standard Gauge, and Redwood Forest Narrow Gauge Steam Train..
Hi guys, thank you all for such kind comments for this shot. There are indeed two lines of the tourist rail service. One goes to the Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk while another takes visitors to the wooded Mt. Herman. Best regards to all, David
Beautiful shot...and you took the side that everyone (myself included) seems to miss.
Umiyama 海山, thank you very much and I am glad that you enjoy the shot. Best regards, David
Bogdan, you are very kind. Greetings, David
How could I pass over this one without commenting?! Would I be right in thinking it is a Shay locomotive you have so nicely captured here?
Peter, thanks for your visit and very kind words. The truth is that I am a total novice when it comes to the old locomotives and I have no idea what it is. These steam trains are weekend family attractions for people living in the Silicon Valley area. They are just 30 minutes up the hill from the hustle and bustle of the high tech valley. Greetings, David
A pretty engine !
motorhand, much thanks for your kind comments. Best regards, David.
