Do you get Walnuts from it Ryan?

Ryan Calhoun on October 22, 2007

Maybe someone does. It grows down the road, and I've never seen anyone picking anything. I imagine it's just a treasure trove for squirrels.

Oh yes....it's funny I've read so many people (at another site) complaining about the mess they make on the lawn. Here we'd be tickled pink to be able to pick walnuts.

As kids, we preferred to throw them rather than eat them. The ones that fall are usually dry and partially opened, and most of the trees don't have any low branches within reach.
