The Complex of Izadkhast is located in the Fars Province of Iran, roughly 135 km south of Esfahan. The complex consists of Izadkhast Castle, a caravanserai, and a Safavid-period bridge.
One of the most interesting historic sites of Izad-Khast is its caravanserai which constructed by Shah Abbas The Great one of the most famous kings of Qajar dynasty. It is said to be one of the 999 caravanserai's that was constructed by him all around Iran.
Another interesting ancient site of Izad-Khast is ruins of its castle that belongs to different periods from Sassanian to Oajars. The castle is constructed on the rocks with very high stone walls which protected it against enemies' attacks.
