Hurricane Katrina destroyed parts of the bridge connecting Bay Saint Louis to Pass Christian and the State of Mississippi got a ferry operation underway to shuttle vehicles from the two sides of the bay soon thereafter. The ferry service continued until a passable bridge was reconstructed. It was free to whomever desired to use it and ran from early in the morning to usually past sundown.

That, more specifically, is a picture of Saint Stanislaus boys school which is run by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. I went to school there for awhile. Has now survived 2 Hurricanes
