Nice shot, Marilyn, and an interesting subject. Are these baby maple trees? It's a beautiful photo touched by raindrops, and the green really stands out.
Thanks, Ryan. Yes, the tones are quite different when it's wet.
And yes, those are the baby maples that pepper our yard and would grow up to be big maples if they had a chance. These happen to be on bare ground, so that's how they've missed being mowed down. Some years ago our sons prevailed upon my husband to stop mowing one back section of our yard, and now it's a thicket of child and adolescent maples!
This one is beautiful Marilyn :)
Wonderfull Marilyn, really beautifull, the green leaves, "borning" from the dead ones.
Thanks, Roger and Alex. It made me feel good when I spotted this!
Please box some up and send to.... :)
Just kidding, but I wish they were so easy to grow here!!
Very lovely picture, and thank you for reminding us that the old is important to nurture the new.. We are so lucky in Canada to have these beautiful trees as one of our symbols!
If only you could get them to grow, we could certainly spare them! Yes, we're lucky to have such a fine national symbol.
Thanks, Marilyn! It was unusual and beautifully and no less beautiful that cathedral. You have a very beautiful gallery.Especially interestingly to see the pictures of those places where was not. Greetings from Ukraine. Eva

Much belated thanks, polytropos and Eva, and thank you Nurettin, for your comments. Greetings from Canada. Marilyn
This is wonderful: new based on old - that's life.
