Ryan, I really like your monochromes of the old buildings. Black and white really suits them. Excellent composition!

Thanks Eve! Sometimes it seems like the color or the light is just a distraction. I like collecting these elevators, and this one is special :-)

That it is.....lots of additional buildings (and, most importantly, it's wood). :D

Why is it special to you Ryan?

Ryan Calhoun on October 24, 2007

It's special because there's a Christmas tree of lights on top! :D

LOLOL Darn I wished I had caught that! :S

Hi Ryan, thank you for your answer on my camera question. This photo has a good strenght. And I like the middle grey sky in the contrast to the light front parts.

Greetings from Wuppertal,

Carsten

Thanks Carsten. For black and white, good light gives good shadows, which is the only way to show depth and shape when the color is gone. This day I was fortunate to have strong sunlight and a clear sky.

Greetings from Missouri, Ryan

Good to know Ryan! I'm going to be facing those conditions very soon! ;D

You mean lack of color, Pam? At least the Canadian Camera Color police won't be after you! It was a close call after your sunset, probably best to lay low for a while. ;)
