Wow, Palmina, this is a very special, delicate sunset. I almost wrote peach, but it's more ashes of roses. My compliments for getting it just at the perfect moment. We're visiting Australia next year - looking forward to it all the more now! Greetings from England, Sarah

Hi Palmina, so many thanks for your kind offer!! We'll definitely be in Melbourne, as both my briother & sister, plus their respective families, live there. Apart from that, we hope to be visiting Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney & maybe Tasmania. That's if the trip comes off - will let you know!
We're in Keele in England - between Birmingham & Manchester. Keele is a village which happens to have a university, set in beautiful woodland, which is where we live. The surrounding region has some areas of stunning natural beauty: Derbyshire Peaks, Welsh Marches, Shropshire, but our nearest connurbation is known as The Potteries, as they used to make world-famous ceramics here & in some cases still do - names such as Wedgwood, Portmeirion, Moorcroft... Most of the industry has gone, it's a relatively depressed area & the towns aren't beauty spots, though there are some isolated pretty places. It's the heart of the Midlands, though, so it's easy to get to lots of places!

Hi Sarah, Which part of Melbourne does your family live in?
I haven't been to your area of England, but everywhere in England is beautiful to me. A lot of people say Newcastle is too industrial but it is a lovely city, full of history and culture. Even the little collery villiage I come from has it's beauty.

Hi again, Palmina - sorry, I missed your reply! My family are in Pakenham - quite a way out of the centre, as I recall from my only visit there in Christmas 1996. Quite handy for Puffing Billy, though! I'm looking forward to seeing that again, but this time with my 3.5 year-old son, who will be 4.5 then, & who will just love it!!

Hi Sarah, I live in Frankston which is about 25 minutes from Pakenham. It's quite built up now. Upper Pakenham is still very rural and a lovley area. It's certainly a small world!! I'm sure your son will love Puffing Billy, it is quite an attraction. I've a photo posted of him Puffing Billy
Cheers, Palmina
