This is the river Suir at Duncannon fort in Wexford. The Nore and the Barrow are tributaries of the Suir. Good Picture when was it taken?

This is "The Barrow" at Duncannon Co. Wexford, The Nore and the Suir are tributaries. The River Barrow is the second largest river in Ireland, The Shannon is the largest.

No, Its the Suir. The River Suir is the principle river of the 3 Sisters, The Nore, The Barrow and The Suir. I have lived her for 40 years. Its the Suir. Have a look at these pictures of the Suir. http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecashin/sets/1482104/

Hopefully, we can agree it's a river, so I'll leave it at that.

Waterford city lies on the Suir estuary alone. But most articles refer to this body of water as 'The Barrow, Nore and Suir estuary'. A happy and wise compromise given the local rivalry!
