Yes, curious figures indeed. I travel this road quite often and traffic is very dense and fast moving. The entire roundabout is very distracting from a road safety point of view. This area was once a T junction with a railway over one road, hence "The Dry Arch" in local parlance. I was unaware of the Pub. It is clearly seen through the arch. There is a garage forecourt, a small shopping unit, other retail outlets right up to the roundabout requiring deep concentration in the fast moving traffic. On my next visit, I'll study the details and apprise you.
