12150 x 2400, 16 photos, taken 3 July 2011 between 9:45 and 9:48 AM. Industry and international trade, with a view of much of downtown Seattle that on zoom is fairly good. If you look to the left of the storage tank there is a decent view of the Space Needle. From West Seattle the image I get is often rather spindly, but here you can see its mass. Further to the left the SBX radar that I go into more detail on a couple of photos to the left. Please see Larger than it Looks. Port cranes are on the right, and behind them, Beacon Hill with the "spotlight" street light just over Pacific Medical Center. It looks kind of pink. You will notice the gray clouds over most of Seattle, but with blue sky breaking open over the shipping containers on the right. I presume the latter is due to their immanent departure. Not much point in subjecting them to any more Seattle weather.
Can't find a single human being, which is a bit creepy :). Nice panorama though. Seattle is a beautiful city.
Glad you like it. It was taken on a Sunday, so there weren't that many people on Harbor Island at the time. Bicyclists. A few truckers. Someone visiting a small park. I remember seeing a train. Some are operated remotely there, but I think this had someone in it. I also ran into a security guard at one point, and I saw some people up on the Sea-Based X-band radar. Upper right-hand corner of the structure. But yes, it was pretty quiet that day.
