Roman yes it was nice when we visited this place late in the afternoon. Two young people and dog were fishing at the end of the jetty. While there a large Stingray was swimming past and the one of the boys had to hang onto the dog as he also saw it and was going to jump with it, which could have been certain death for for dog as they do string with deadly results. I have a photo somewhere showing this happening. Thanks for your like as well dear Roman.

Ahmet, thankyou very much for your praise and greetings and like as well!!!

Kind Regards, David

Such a beautiful turquoise sea, David. I would love to swim in that but after reading your comment above I have had second thoughts!

Best wishes, Brian.

Brian it was only a small one about 6ft across!! But seriously, I think this one and others come in around here for free fish etc and I think they only a danger if you try to to touch or hurt it!! I can't swim at all, so I won't be going in anywhere unless its shallow and about 45C!!! Every morning dozens of people from middle age to old come to this beach and go swimming even on the most coldest of days. Many people 70 plus come here for the early morning swim. And they are all remarkablally health too!! A few years ago, some fellow was swimming abouit 200 meters or more out and a shark bit him. A lady swam out and brought him a shore while others also distracted the shark at the same time. Tremendous bravery I think. I think she got a an award for this act. People still go swimming here though. I think it might have been a one off. Safer closer in to shore though. I remmeber way back in the early 1960's and they had caught a huge shark from here. It was really massive. It would have been at least 15-18 feet long and about nearly 3 feet across. They had its mouth propped open with a bit 4x2 wood and man could easerly fit in its mouth. THis was back in the days when people caught these sharks for no reason really. Its was also back in the days when Whale were caught and brought into Albany and these large sharks would follow them in!!! Whaling was all stopped in the early 1970's I think.(Someone will sure to correct me if I am wrong. They love doing that!!) Many thanks dear Brian for your comments and greetings and interest. Now ytou will never go swimming here!! Its quite safe really!! More of a chance of getting killed on the road these days than in here!!

Martin thankyou very very much. Took this shot way back in Oct 2010. Great to have you back again. Missed you and your photo.

Kind Regards, Dvaid

The calmness of the area and the torquoise waters lapping at the edge of the shore are a real feast for the eyes. It's hard to believe there may be danger lurking out there. A great shot, David. Greetings from Minks.
