St. Anne’s Church

Vilnius és a Baltikum legszebb késő gótikus remekműve a Szent Anna templom.

A büszkén hirdetett történet szerint Napóleon a tenyerén szerette volna Párizsba vinni.

Az egyhajós kéttornyú templomot 1495-1500 között építették, áttört homlokzatához 33 különböző típusú vörös téglát használtak. Külső megjelenése azóta változatlan. A mellette álló neogótikus harangtorony 1870-ben épült.

Thank you very much Edward for your nice comment. According to a well-known legend, Emperor Napoleon, after seeing the church during the Franco-Russian War in 1812, expressed a wish to carry the church home with him to Paris 'in the palm of his hand'. :) Greetings, Joli
