One of the best autumn photos I have seen, DeEtte! My compliments! I love the bends of the road and the fallen leaves, which intensify the bends and of course the contrast to the green of the slope and trees. A yellow star!

Greetings, May

Thank you so much for the yellow star May! I really appreciate all of your nice comments about my photos! :-)

Great photo! The colors of the sunlit grass and the leaves go very well together. Also I like the gentle curves in the road. I would love to go for a jog or ride my bike down this road and watch the leaves fall.

Thank you Brandon. The leaves were falling like crazy, but they don't show up very well because of all the trees in the background. ;-)

Cheers, DeEtte

Wonderful shot. The colours are brilliant. I agree with the other comments about the leaves following the road. Are you sure you didn't go out with the brush first? (LOL)

Greetings, Palmina

Great composition DeEtte! Must have been difficult to get the exposure correct with highlights from the sun and the shadow from the trees. It's a really beautiful picture with great colors and the nice curved road.

This photo of the winding road carpeted with autumn leaves is also very beautiful, and I'm going to nominate it for the Panoramio Elections as well. Good luck, DeEtte! Cheers, Anne

Palmina - I does sort of look like the leaves have been brushed to the side...but I assure you that I had nothing to do with that...too much work!... ;-)) Actually, believe it or not, several cars went down the road while I was there, and I think that makes the leaves blow to the sides. There are houses farther down the road. Thanks, and I'm glad you liked the picture.

Roger - The sun was a problem, but I was in a very shady place where I took the photo. As you can see in the picture, there was only 2 or 3 places where the sun managed to shine down through the canopy of leaves, so it really was a very shady place. Thanks so much for you wonderful comments!

Anne - Thanks for another nomination! Wow I can't believe it! "Shocked" is probably a better word. I've never considered myself much of a photographer...strictly I really appreciate the nominations and all of your nice comments! I have learned a lot of things about photography, though, beacause of a lot of really bad photos! :)

Greetings from Oregon to all of you!! :-)
