Great mix of color! What type of lens was used on this shot?

Hello Tony,

Thanks for the Compliments!

I used a Sigma 17-28mm f2.8-4 super wide lense on a Canon XT shooting RAW format. Bracketed shots and used Photomatix HDR software and Photoshop Elememts 5.0 for processing.

Greetings Michael!

I meant what I said, you've got some great shots on here. I just found out about HDR from another panoramio member. I was trying to get into photography many years ago when I lived in Salem, with my old Pentax K1000 and later a Pentax P3. I still have them but the K1000 doesn't work too well anymore. After saving up I finally broke into the DSLR world with a Pentax K10d with a modest kit lens of 18-55mm. Its been a good starter. I just need a few lenses to add to the one it came with. This ones a little slow at f3.5-5.6 . Your photos are making me wish all the more that I never moved from Salem! Its still by far the place I have lived at the longest, 14 years. So much has changed since I moved away 8 years ago! I really miss the Mtns and the beach!

Yes it's the main thing I like about living here. 50 miles from the coast. 120 miles from the mountains. 120 from the Gorge and everything in between..

However within the next 2 years I'll be moving the Phoenix AZ..

I will miss it here.

Thanks for the Compliments

Ouch! That will definately be a culture shock going from wet Salem to dry Phoenix! Good luck!

Thanks for the tip...
