Greetings Verena.F, Thanks for visiting the Maroon Bells and your wonderful comments. That means something coming from one who lives in such a beautiful area. It was long overdue being able to get back out on the snow in the high country. The mountain valley was breath taking and I had a wonderful time walking and taking pictures. I am glad you like them.

Rich, all your pictures are great! But I love this very much, because the sunlight is just above the trees, which looks like a collar. Beautiful shot!

Greetings, May

Greetings May, Thanks so much for your regular visits and all your comments. I'm glad you like the pictures and I really appreciate your interest in them. It was enjoyable being on the trail as the sun was coming up and lighting more of the valley. The peaks to the east are 13,000 to 14,000 feet high, so it take a while for the shadows to go away. The low light gives you a real feeling of solitude, even if you are only a couple of miles away from the parking lot. Every few steps and every corner brought new beautiful views of the valley. Thanks again.
