"Downham is a privately-owned village belonging to Lord and Lady Clitheroe. Every house is rented and certain new-fangled items are banned by the tenant's contract - external aerials and satellite dishes, for example - ensuring its timeless beauty remains just that."

See more about the village of Downham about witches... and films being made in this location...

...und wieder ein knallroter Briefkasten als Farbtupfer...wenn man von dem "Hütchen" im Vordergrund mal absieht :-))

You are getting clever at composing your shots May. I see a car in the Reflection, but no Swiss Miss. :-). I recently posted a shot in Mallaig and who was next to me in the thumbnails. You thought you had troubles driving in Paisley?? that Mallaig- Fort William road in 08 was the worst in Scotland :=(( I am willing to bet it was a one way journey and a ferry ride was the other? best regards scally

Dear Nadia, thanks a lot! Best regards, May

Liebe Grüsse, May

Scally, ;)) you'll never find a Swiss Miss in my photos, I hope!

Don't remind me of the nightmare traffic in Paisley, I prefer a hundred times roads like the one from Mallaig - Oban... and I must tell you, I have found some worse in the utmost Northwest of the mainland in Scotland and a hidden one on Sky, but I loved them, nearly no traffic, I had the scenery for myself and in comparison to the West of beautiful Ireland, they were Kingsize roads :)).

You would win the bet, because I try to never use the same roads again, because I want to see as much as possible from the scenery. Btw. whenever I come back to lovely Scotland, you might lose the bet - what is it you are ready to risk? Best regards, May
