Thanks JF, I was transported out for the day here, and after I bought lunch the four of us drove home along back roads with the rain all around us, taking photos where appropriate!

I never actually 'got out' except for when going to the Inn in wheelchair - still got wet!

Between the rainstorms I stepped outside of the Inn to get this view I first saw through the window

Thank you for your comment

Hello mike there is something very serene and calming about this shot. I guess the lush green everywhere.. and the focal of course, for me anyway, is the stone wall, with the wooden section there. It invites one to come and look through into what is beyond that wall. I see some color etched in along the base of the wall, all making it a well caught shot Mike. I like it a lot. I've not been around to check in on you lately, been seeing about things here. I hope you are doing great and I see you have been out and about and adding lots of interesting things to your gallery. I always check in on you to see what you are doing, but do not always have time to comment. A big like for this shot Mike and your new series.

sending my best wishes Sarah (one of your Georgia Peaches:)

Hey Hey!! Peachy Sarah! how nice of you to call on me, I was just going to make my evening meal, but that can wait now, I'd much rather chat to you.

I saw this scene from the window of the Inn we were having lunch at(see same page in gallery) butthe Olde English glazing did not allow a good shot, so my buddy Stuart went out in the rain with my camera and took the shot from where I suggested he stood! Just off to the left is the house the garden belongs to, it's not an old house and not so 'pretty' so I asked him to leave it out. The verdant surroundings were enhanced by weeks of precipitation and alternating sunlight, that's what makes English scenery green, lush and misty!

The wooden section of the wall is a gate (see the handle on the right?) but obviously not used much as you can see by the less tread path! the wall is typical construction for this area, but a little tidier as it is a garden wall (probably lower too as there is no animal herds to coral! What you see at the base of the wet wall is wee wild plants & grasses, the stone being local Dolomite from THE WHIN SILL which appears all over these parts and has been used by Man since first eons of the Stone Age!, try your own research on the subject- just ask GOOGLE for 'WHIN SILL' you will read about a lot of history and country folk and more!!

I am doing fine at the moment, hope you are leaping all around kitchen and garden with renewed vigour now your knee is recovered!

My evening meal is a-calling, it's almost 30 minutes since I got it all together, will take another 15 to cook!

Thank you for your delicious comment about this wet garden boundary, you are most kind!

you be good now, y'hear!

How did I miss this lovely scene? It is very similar to mine, Mike, and one of my favourite things to do is to look over garden walls at other peoples lovely gardens. Nice one! Theolfa
