A speciality of yours dear Mary Alice I love when you take your audience by the the hand to such special places Y*+like Warm Wishes, Peter
I am from Georgia too, and it is down to local knowledge...everybody knows some place like this...a sort of special place you went as kids or to make out as teenagers...it is a southern speciality....i even know a few secret places and have sent Mary Alice to find them and photograph them....since I cannot do it from England.
Lloyd, yes indeed, this was once an old road that took people to and from the old Mill that was once a huge operation here in Upson County. The bridge has since been replaced by a new one just a few feet away. These old remains are tucked up in the woods out of sight, but not out of mind! ;) Evan, Thank you for your enthusiasm! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the shot! Miguel, No, No ..... not disturbing, but rather Intriguing! :) Peter, Thank you for enjoying this neat old bridge! You know how the broken down things just lure me in! I'm so happy that you liked the shot, and thank you for your kind words. Christopher, Yes indeed, we do all know our share of secret places! It's so hard to believe that you're from here, and yet now you're so very, very far away. I still haven't been out to the secret place you told me about, but I haven't forgotten about it for even a second. I will surprise you one day, so just be on the lookout! Don't worry .... I'll come and get you when I have posted the shots though, so just hang in there! It's always a pleasure to have you visit, my friend!
All the best from Georgia,

Thank you very much, Karen! Your kind words are greatly appreciated.
Best wishes to you from the USA,
Wonderful, I love these designs! This looks great, but I hope you have not risked your neck. Best regards from the Black Forest in Germany.
I love it! It's like the Secret Garden, almost completely hidden by over growth. I think this is my favorite thing abou Georgia, that there are place like this just waiting to be found.
No worries, I was careful! Thank you so much for enjoying this shot. Beast wishes to the Black Forest, and thank you for visiting! :)
Fuscia, Thank you! Yes indeed, I would have to agree with you about all of these wonderful places just itching to be discovered. I LOVE exploring and digging up these juicy gems from the past. Oh, how I'd love to have seen this bridge back when it was functional. Thank you for your enthusiasm, and for enjoying this shot.
I am very taken with the beauty of your photography. There are so many photos that I want to comment on...and will as I view your portfolio. Thank you for sharing MaryAlice.
Greetings, James, and thank you so much for stopping by my humble gallery today. I am delighted that you've enjoyed some of these southern relics scattered about Georgia. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I hope this new year finds you well. Thank you again for stopping in. :)
All the best,
Wow...amazing old bridge. I love the way you have captured it and the way nature is taking it back. You have some amazing photos and I will take the time to explore your gallery a little more
Cuantos años atras habra sido construido, tiene algo de misterioso la foto, pero es muy buena. Cuantos lugares abandonadoa y escondidos por la naturaleza se encuentran en distintos rincones del mundo. L + F !!!, saludos desde Uruguay
