Greetings, Laurent, and thank you for visiting. I'm so happy you enjoyed this pretty scene, and thank you for your kind words.:)

Lloyd, Yes indeed, that IS spanish Moss! Isn't it lovely? We don't usually see a lot of it up this far, but it was certainly all over these trees! It was very beautiful and greatly appreciated by me! The river was not especially low, but I guess it had seen higher days. It was still way over my head, and that's all I needed to know! ;) Thanks so much for stopping by and taking in the scene! It's always a special pleasure to hear from you! :)

Liam, Yes, Typical Georgia for sure! It was a fun day of floating the river and fishing! We didn't catch even one fish though! :( I still had a ball! Thank you for visiting. I hope all is good over your way! :)

Sambakar, Sadly, there were no fish this day! Not even one! :(

Sweet Milla, Thank you so much for your kind words and your appreciation of this beauty! You know it's a joy hearing from you, and I wish you a wonderful evening! :)

Elmer, Thank you, thank you for your sweet praise! It was a very beautiful place, and I'm so happy that you enjoyed it. Thanks again for dropping by. :)

Zanot10, Thank you so much for your kind words of praise. I'm happy that you stopped by my gallery and enjoyed your look around.

Thank you all again for visiting! Very best regads from the steamy South,

Reminds me of my youth and fishing with my Dad on the Escambia River. One of his old aerial photographs was used to make a map whereby he would use to navigate to those places one could only skull into, dodging low branches here and there. He used to paraphrase an old Norwegian saying, that as long as you have a line in the water, there is always hope. Mahalo for the memories.

MaryAlice on January 19, 2013

Thank you for sharing the memories, Lu! I enjoyed reading them very much. :)

Olga, Thank you so much for your kind words of praise. I'm so happy that you enjoyed this river scene.

All the best from Georgia,

Mary Alice
