Is it some kind of celebration?

Rosalyn Hilborne on July 24, 2011

I think they keep the flags up all summer in the small side streets. There is always something happening, it's a popular family holiday resort. It is where the yachting events are taking place in the Olympics next year...a lot of work going on there!!

Theolfa on July 24, 2011

It IS a bank holiday scene. Nice timing to capture the raised thumb. Looks like you had fun, Rosa. ;D

Any old excuse for Weymouth to put out the flags! We had a lovely day thank you. Took a chance, as it was raining at home but the closer we got to the coast, the sunnier it was :-)

Rosalyn Hilborne on July 24, 2011

...but where is it now :-((

Nick Weall on July 24, 2011

You have had no sun lately? :-D You should come to Finland. 27 Celsius yesterday!

Druella Ceville on July 24, 2011

Oh, and this seems like a nice place to visit, such festivity every day!

Rosalyn Hilborne on July 25, 2011

Nick Weall,

I used to think we were very lucky having 3 aunties living in Weymouth and spent many a happy holiday there. We went down really to look at the new road. No more queues!! It all still needs landscaping and a lot of improvements going on in the town and Portland. Cheers, Rosa.

27c! lucky Finland. We have had a couple of bad weather weeks. There is a blue sky this morning and the birds are very noisy, so lets hope ;~)

nicely seen and grabbed - the overall effect is very bright and lively :)

Hi Rosa,

looks like you had great party there. Nice to hear you had sunny days also. I just fled from Finland to Indonesia as the weather turned rainy and stormy. Here it is nice +32, breakfast time at 6:30 it is really comfortable 25 with light wind.

Best wishes, Timo

Rosalyn Hilborne on July 29, 2011

Oooh, +32...too hot for me, 25c sounds good though! Always lots to do in Weymouth Timo. Enjoy your time in Indonesia. Cheers, Rosa.

I had to open this one to find out what the title was about Rosa. Caught at the right moment!

It all looks very festive, if not a tad cool, and my imagination is wondering what drink is in the hand of the man in The Wellington Arms :))))

Rosalyn Hilborne on August 2, 2011

Amelia Royan,

I think I was lucky Amelia, I couldn't really see what I was taking! After an hour or so, the temperature went up and we all ended up carrying our jackets! Don't know what drink he had, but he was certainly saying...cheers :-)...Cheers, Rosa!
