Von älteren Menschen wird die Namensgebung der Scheune so beschrieben - Ab 1757 zogen die Franzosen nach Preussen, um dort Krieg zu führen - Auf dem langen Weg mußten immer wieder Zwischenstationen eingelegt werden - Dieses harte Schicksal traf auch die lippische Region um Homeien mehrer Jahre - Hier hatten die Franzosen ein großes Feldlager eingerichtet -
