Wonderful hotos...I delivered papers to Battle when we lived In Ninfield, I was 12 at the time...Battle has always been of great interest to me, I would ride my bicycle home and visualise the Knights in Armour riding behind me. It is my understanding that the "Quaife" Coat of Arms are hung within the Abbey. I may find out some day. My ancestor Mons. Coif, arrived with Willaim The Conquerer. Sincerely

Knowing about the Quaife Coat Of Arms would probably help a great deal in that respect I would guess. You could well be right in speculating that the Quaife Coat Of Arms is on display within the Abbey. From memory there is much historic paraphernalia on display within its precincts.
