Blimey ~ you following me or what? :)

Nick Todaro on July 27, 2011

I think you had already left :) I wanted to experience the micro-climate but failed!... it was freezing and windy in this particular spot. Hope you had better luck!

Nick Weall on July 27, 2011

Yes I had left at 0215hrs last Saturday morning ~ Isobel and the girls followed on the 1700hrs ferry :)

The area around Ventnor and Shanklin is the best for the micro climate ~ but this year it did not work for us either :(

I hope you enjoyed your trip anyway ~ all the best ~ nick

We got there in the afternoon Nick, then hopped on several buses to get around and managed to be back by 20.00 to Portsmouth. Are you royalty Nick, you always seem to travel separately!? :) We passed through Ventnor and Shanklin... And thank good that we were sheltered on the top deck of a bus, or else we would have been exposed to the unfavourable conditions! :))

There are good reasons for us travelling separately but cannot divulge them here in a public forum :) Royalty used to spend much more time on the Island than your brief trip :)))

Okay 007 ;)

But I envy you those cliffs, Nick...

millotaurus, Ya, great stuff, pity about the cool temperature and grey skies! :(
