This shot was taken during a recent trip to Europe. Here is some background info on the history of this Celtic circular wall of Otzenhausen: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CelticcircularwallofOtzenhausen.
This shot was taken hand held as a Raw with my little, trusty Pentax K-x in manual mode @ f/5.6, ISO 100 at 1/60 second and white balance set to auto. The lens I used was the Sigma 10-20 at the 20mm setting. There was no cropping.
The Raw was developed in ACR at default settings and white balance set to auto. Clarity was increased to +38, Vibrance +23 (saturation stayed at 0).
In CS5 I reduced the size to 1024 wide and then used a mask to brush on smart sharpened areas like the flowers, the stone construction and the wood stumps (amount 150% and radius 0.4 px).
Output through "Save for web" as jpeg.
Overall this process took not more than 20 mins max.
(This was also my first pic that won a weekly competition at the AusPhotography forum)
