Nice car !!!LK
Thank you for your visit and comment, Pierre. I think so too. And the dog there was a nice surprise I noticed only afterwards. Greetings from Finland - sixten_imgs
I was wrong about there not being a Chevy in your classic car line-up, this is a modified Chevy, Sixten. The grill and tailfins confused me. Here is what my hotrod friend said about it: "It's a 1954 Chevy 4 door sedan, with a 4" or 5" chopped top, late 50s Buick grill, "Frenched" headlights, custom skirts and tail light fins, and "Baby Spots" (next to the wing windows) and side pipes or "Lake Pipes" as we called 'em. But the one thing that is out of place is the painted front bumper. A true 50s Custom (the style of the changes) would have a chrome front bumper, like the rear. But the hood and trunk emblems are removed and smoothed, which is period correct. So this is a Rebuilt or Retro Custom in the 50s style. Those 3 painted lines on the front fenders are called 'Scallops', and they used to run straight through 'Glass Pack' mufflers that were very loud when you lifted off the throttle at speed, sounded like a small machine gun - "bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop, bop"..."
Probably more than you wanted to know, but someone might be interested. Great photos (O:
Suzi, thank you very much, and best regards also to your hotrod friend. This was splendid information.
