I am interested in Lansdown Road Bath because my great great Aunt lived there in the mid 1800's. Can you tell me anything about the area? I am guessing that it is well to do. Why did you take a photo of this street?

When my wife Katrina and I lived in Bailbrook Lane, Batheaston in 2005-06, one of our usual walking routes into the centre of town was west along Bailbrook Lane, through Larkhall, along Camden Road and Crescent, down past the Belvedere Wine Vaults and on to the town centre.

This kept us away from the majority of road traffic on the London Road and also provided a nice workout up and down the hills involved.

Despite the obvious urban integrity and genteel nature of these particular residences, there was no special reason to take a photo of this row of terraces, but it shows just one example of the everyday life that was ours in Bath at that time.

Andrew.
