This Loggerheads is where old Flintshire met the old Denbighshire, but no-one cared which county it belonged to .... until lead ore ore was found there and the two shires were at loggerhead s; both claiming the area belonged to them. There is a pub on the main road called We Three Loggerheads with a pub sign showing two men's heads staring at each other. Anyone asking where's the third is told "It's you" !
