What a brilliant phot Bits glad you got it, I would have had to take it from under the bed...LOL -just love the colours, glad you are getting some pleasure time. :-)
Well seen and caught!!
Very good, Bitsy! I hope you were safe in your car, and not outside holding your tripod.
Thanks Dianne, geomancer and Norrel!
Have no fear Norrel - with that rain I didn't want to risk my camera outside ;) Sometimes when lightning is safely to the north I'll sit outside to watch it, but not this time!
HI Di - you would have HATED it - it was pretty wild: about an hour and a half of heavy lightning, with bolts coming down all around, even when the sun came back out to the west. This was pure luck of the click ( look at that shutterspeed!) but a little while later, I missed what would have been a great one: Sun though the clouds, really strong rays, and all of a sudden a lightning bolt cutting across the scene- a second after I hit the shutter. and lol, by this time, I was one of only 2 or 3 people left in the whole refuge. Everyone else skedaddled when the storm arrived.
where is the photo of "lightning down in the ground"?
Wow! Amazing shot, Bits!
Warmest wishes, Liam ;)
Great Shot Bits. Right time, right place.
Thanks M! It was sure a fun storm to be out on the barrier island for.
Quite a puzzler Tery - I suppose I have a few, but they are too grainy to post. ;)
I voted and liked , greets oolalaa from Poland.

Thanks Ippa! It sure was fun to have slmost a whole island to myself in the middle of an hour-long smashing thunderstorm!
This is crazy great!!!
Thanks Jean - it was a GREAT storm - lasting over an hour, with lighting crashes visible all up and down the coast. Thunderstorm as Spectator Sport :)
