Impressive capture of this "rooted totem". Thanks for the link to additional information. One thing they don't mention, is whether the tree is alive or dead. Looking at the depth of cuts and what we can see of the tree, I'm going to guess the latter of two. Regardless, it's quite a feat. Like

Hi there Mark :-) It is always a shame to find a tree tat has died.. but when its old shell is transformed like this has been it is given a different kind of life...
It seems this kind of art can be found and different ends of the country if this is anything to go by :-)
