I vote for this. Nice photo and colours and eye catching building! Lots of self explaining details. But if compared with Nr.2 this view has perspective problems.. :( but if there will no choices, I vote for this.
But I am only amateur.. wait a minute and have see what will experienced experts comment on this selection.
No contest, IMHO. This shot has perspective, good shadow and the subject fills the frame. Hope this helps.
This is my preference, Marilyn. Taking an angle on a building is much better for depth. The stairs and the air conditioners (which I like), and the mess of pipes, take on the best dimension here. Also showing the street and bit of the corner give the building mass and scale. And the shadow adds interest as well, because it shows the shape of the opposite building. The others to me seem very flat.
Thanks Ainars, Hank, Ryan, and John. After I deleted picture #2 so that this thumbnail stood next to #3, there was no question in my mind. My eye was drawn to this and was bothered by something (the flatness) of #3. So my eye agrees with your opinions, and this one stays! (The door at the left leads to a veterinary medicine office, so that is why it is painted with animals.) Marilyn
