Le temple d'Adinath ou Chaumukh se dissimule dans un vallon de la chaîne des Arawalli. Edifié au XVème siècle, il est le plus imposant temple jaïns d'Inde. il s'étend sur 1500 mètres carré et possède au total 1444 piliers en marbre, tous sculptés avec une incroyable finesse. La religion Jainiste ne permet pas de nuire aux êtres vivants, même les plus petits : le port d'un voile sur la bouche permet, par exemple, d'éviter d'avaler un insecte. Le Jain pratique la non-violence, le jeûne et la mortification et aspire à la perfection en renonçant au matériel
