BEAUTIFUL PHOTO PENNINGTON-GREETINGS MOSSIP

Pennington Geis on November 4, 2007

Hi mossip and Dann! Thank you for your kind words. It helps to have a beautiful subject. :) This is the typical village arrangement in much of rural New England: homes and small businesses lining the main streets, with farm fields behind. It creates a very picturesque settled landscape -- especially in the autumn when the leaves are in their glory.

yes, a very quiet village, a nice place to be. did you shoot it by plane, or is there a hill ? greetings.

Pennington Geis on November 5, 2007

Greetings, armagnac!

There is a hill. It's a good place to get persective, both for the camera and the spirit. I have posted several other photos taken on the same hill, different views and different light: the rainbow, these dogwood, and the river.

Greetings Pennington, Your autumn color photos are beautiful. I remember when we were out that way with the motorcycle and did a fall color tour. Just amazing the colors you see. You have captured it all beautifully. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,

Rich

Excellent shot Pennington. Isn't autumn just the best time of year for lighting & colour. Looks a very beautiful place too.

Well done!

Thank you for your kind comments, Rich, zeezee, and ornobb.

Yes, the autumn light is warm, just like the colors of the leaves. Now the leaves are mostly down and the light is turning cool.
