Those are wonderful houses! They do look like dollhouses.

Jelmer,
A beautiful picture and great perspective. Did you shoot it from a church steeple? The orange roof jumps off the screen.
I would love to visit Groningen some day as it looks like a very nice city. My wife and I visited The Netherlands a couple of times, but never farther north than Volendam.
With the flat land and lots of water it reminded us so much of our home in Louisiana. Everyone there was so nice and friendly, it was a pleasure to visit. We would love to return someday.
Greetings, Leo

Thanks Leo, yes I shoot this picture from a church steeple. You have to visit Groningen, it's a beautiful city. Volendam is a little bit too touristic in my opinion. If you really want to see the Nedtherlands you should go to Groningen. It has got a nice tower, the Martinitoren. Groningen also has got a nice park and some nice churches.
Greetings, Jelmer

Jelmer,
Thank you for the additional pictures of Groningen. I would love to visit some day. My wife and I plan to return to Europe before we are too old to enjoy it.
The reason I asked if you shot this from a church steeple is because it reminds me of a photo I took in Brugge from the church in the city center. I would link it here, but I have not learned how to do that yet. Sorry. It is tagged Brugge Belgium in my gallery if you would like to see it.
Greetings, Leo

If you like to add a link, you need to write a text between [ ] and immediately there after a website between ( ). Example: [Church] (www.panoramio.com/user/157901/tags/Church). If you don't put space between the [] and (), there is a link like this.
