Excellent shot Like Greetings and best wishes from Rodos-Greece Dimitris
as you can see, scorpion fish are very well camouflaged and difficult to notice. Normally they don't move, so you have time to compose the picture.
Best wishes, Timo
fantastic under water shots. like most of them.
it just seems difficult nowadays to have them approved for GE.
Really cool, Timo! A very unique subject. Love your gallery. In my favs :)
Scorpion fish belong to my favourite subjects. They are difficult to detect, but they normally don't move, so there is time to compose the shot and adjust exposure.
Wonderful photo. Excellent photography.
Thanks for share this photo.
Greetings from Dhaka,Bangladesh.
Beautiful Scorpionfish and photo. Like
Greetings from Thailand.
Thank you for your visit and kind compliments!
Ian, scorpion fish do have poisonous spines in their back and fins. They do not normally attack, but touching them is dangerous.
GE reviewers don't seem to recognise underwater pictures, but they are quite frequently rejected even if in the published policy only people and blurred pictures are not allowed. Out of my latest batch of 20 pictures only 11 were selected and certainly all 20 fulfilled the selection criteria.
