When you're used to looking at wooden bridges, there don't seem to be enough pylons on these do there!!

Funny you should mention that. There must be a fair bit of truck traffic over it and I wondered about strength. So far so good, it's been there quite a while. The river has a bit of winter flow right now, but is just a trickle in the 'dry', with the dam upstream. The muddy colour is a clue to a major source of the water. There are an estimated 4700 (!) km of rural drains feeding into the three larger streams in the Peel Region, a fair proportion running into the Serp. Sadly, the effect is not good.
